Jugs and bowls
We like to run photography courses at stately homes, with enormous fountains and cascading waterfalls. It’s just the thing for getting the idea of shutter speeds. But you don’t need Capability Brown to get the idea.
But here’s one you can try at home: much the same effect can be obtained with a jug and a bowl of water. Here are some of the very talented sixth-formers at Hagley Catholic High School having a go.
