Bristol photography course pictures from Ashton Court
Apart from the farmer’s market, the friendly people and the hot chocolate, there are lots of good reasons to come to Ashton Court. There is always a remarkable mix of people, and the seem to be extremely nice!
There are formal gardens, landscape park, dogs, deer, bugs and beetles, flowers and views across the city. And all a mile and a half from Clifton!
With modern cameras and fast-moving subjects, it’s not a bad idea to up the ISO to 800 – doing this has given a shutter speed here of 1/500th even with a kit lens in poor light. Most cameras can do 1600 before you get much appreciable noise, and it’s better to get a clear shot than to introduce blur. Here in England the light is often pretty feeble, so we need to be getting clear shots rather than dropping the ISO to 100 and ending up with perfect, noiseless, blurry and unusable pictures. 800 ISO here was a good call.
