Rainy photography course in Birmingham

We had a small but select band at Birmingham in torrential rain for our DSLR course.  This meant we could photograph lots of flowers in the rain! Like the poor reporters you see on TV, you can hardly see the water in the photographs, but you can feel it running down your neck!

Professional flower photographers often take a squirty bottle to give flowers a just rained look, but we had no need of this, oh no!

Cannon Hill park has lots of good flower beds, as well as a lake which we avoided due to the windswept nature of the day. We sheltered at mac for a good part of the day in the lovely cafe.

Sometimes the most useful piece of equipment for photographs in the UK is an umbrella – not for a reflector, but for sheltering under! We got some good results anyway.
