Photography Summer School – 3 day photography course for teenagers
Come to us for three days of photography in the Summer holidays, learning the best ways to get the photographs you want to take. In small classes we help students from age 15-18 to get the pictures they want. The first day is camera basics, the second applying the basics for creative effect, the third editing your pictures. It’s hard work, but rewarding and fun! Cost is £180 for the three days.
Even if you’re in the middle of A level photography, you may feel that your photography is not improving, and you can’t get the pictures that you want. The more creative and interesting the pictures you want to make are, the more difficult it is to get the camera to produce them. We can help! We’ve got loads of creative ideas to help you produce the pictures you want to see. And it’s fun, with a small and select group of teenage photography fanatics. We’ve designed this course for A2 and A1 photography students, but mad-keen photography GCSE students are welcome as well.
We’ve taught photography at several state and independent schools (including the prestigious Malvern College). We’re qualified to teach in school, but some years ago we retired work as photographers and to teach beginner photographers the creative process as well as the technical aspects of photography. We can suggest ways to present exam pieces and come up with a ‘wish’ list of gear to get Photography ‘A’ Level off the ground, with approximate costs. A lot of art teachers struggle to give students the technical photography knowledge as well as the creative and composition skills they need. As working photographers as well as teachers, we can help with the practical issues of photography as well as the theory, and we make it fun! We’ve taught nearly 2,000 adults and an countless children how to take better pictures.
We run this course in Malvern and Bristol in August.
- As a Teacher myself I congratulate you, Phil, for the way you delivered the course, both theory and practical. And the sun shone all day! Thanks again.
