Wollaton Hall is an astonishing Elizabethan country house, with deer park, lake and a lovely cafe.  It has a botanic garden and formal and informal gardens.  This give us the perfect balance of landscape and portrait photography material to photograph.  It is home to the Nottinghamshire Natural History Museum, with it’s famous gorilla and giraffes, as well as all manner of exotic Victorian taxidermy.

Wollaton has even been used as Wayne Manor in The Dark Night Rises (that’s Batman’s House to you and me – conveniently located a few miles from the original Gotham in Nottinghamshire).

It’s a great place to sharpen your photography skills, wherever your photography interests lie.
